With the West Virginia primary election quickly approaching on May 14th, MOVCAC has taken the initiative to assure that voters are informed on the candidates they are voting for.
The Northern Panhandle Chapter held a Candidate Night during their meeting this evening, where they brought in 20 republican West Virginia candidates from school boards, city councils, to the governor’s race.
The organization’s goal is to educate the public, so they have the power to hold those in office accountable.
”I think sometimes they kind of skirt around the issues a little bit, and I think it’s time for us to hold their feet to the fire and say, look, you represent us, and this is what we want you to do, and this is how you voted, you know, what are you doing? Why are you doing that? We’re tired of this battle between the left and the right. It is getting so polarized. We just want people to be educated. We feel like that is one of the most important things you can do before you go into the election booth.”
