Rob Portman (R-Ohio), a former Bush administration official.

Bush’s pushback comes as Trump continues to insist he did nothing wrong after attacking the parents of Capt. Humayun Khan, a Muslim-American soldier who died in Iraq, with insinuations about their religion. Bush was a strong defender of Muslim Americans as well as a proponent of immigration reform, a stance at odds with many in his party then and now.
