Dr. Birx Explains that Ohio Governor DeWine has been acting on BAD INFORMATION from the very beginning of the Coronavirus Pandemic
Within just hours of the end of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s daily Covid-19 Press Conference Wednesday (3/25/20) Dr. Deborah L. Birx, from the Trump Coronavirus Task Force, made it crystal clear that the “modeling” being used by Ohio Health Director, Dr. Amy Acton, was wrong from the beginning and is wrong now. Dr. Birx said those using those flawed projections have “Frightened the American People” and were never valid.
Governor DeWine has been acting out of panic from day one because Dr. Acton has been wrongly advising him that Ohio would experience a “worst case scenario” where 40-70% of all Ohioans would get this virus in the course of a year. Dr. Birx refuted that claim directly, as shown in this video, during the President’s Daily China Virus Press Briefing on Wednesday (3/25/20). She explained that those type of predictions would only be true if a state or nation took NO PRECAUTIONS AT ALL and then it would take three cycles to have that happen – the current 2020 spring outbreak, another outbreak in the fall of 2020, and a third outbreak in the spring of 2021. All without any efforts to implement social distancing, to find drugs that can treat the virus, or to manufacture a vaccine – all of which are being done, and much more, in America and in Ohio.
Tom Zawistowski, President of the We the People Convention, said, “This new information strongly suggests that Ohio Governor DeWine was much too aggressive in his actions from the very start and that any suggestion that continuing the shutdown of businesses beyond next Monday, March 30, 2020, is totally unwarranted as is evidenced by the extremely low number of cases, hospitalizations and deaths in Ohio after the three week shutdown. There is ZERO data to backup Governor DeWine and Dr. Acton’s claim Wednesday that the Coronavirus will not peak in Ohio until May or that the destructive business shutdowns should be extended. The Ohio Legislature, must now step in, as required by the Ohio Constitution, and put a stop to these clearly ill-advised and clearly illegal actions that Dr. Acton and Governor DeWine have been taking that threaten to destroy the jobs of as many as 1,389,950 Ohioans and put in jeopardy the ability of as many as 113,670 small businesses to survive it the Legislature does not act IMMEDIATELY to end these shutdowns.
